Ashley Sperbeck, Esq.

Associate

Ashley is an intellectual property attorney with over seven years’ of patent prosecution experience. Subsequent to receiving a B.S. in Chemistry in the Honors Program and a Minor in Physics from Arcadia University, Ashley interned at Merck and Co. Research Labs as a Process Chemistry Future Talent Program Intern. Ashley then achieved an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. While working towards her M.S., Ashley’s computational organic chemistry research involved collaborating with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard University Medical School to elucidate the molecular basis for specificity in protein-protein interactions through studying the molecular logic of cell-surface receptors, focusing on proteins implicated in human disease. Ashley then achieved an M.S. in Patent Law from the University of Notre Dame. While working towards her second M.S., Ashley worked with the Technology Transfer Office at the University of Notre Dame to secure patent protection for numerous professors in the field of aerospace engineering.

 

Prior to attending law school, Ashley gained four years of patent prosecution experience as a scientific advisor and supervisory patent agent at Turk IP Law. While at Albany Law School, Ashley worked as a patent agent for the Innovations Department at the State University of New York (SUNY) Research Foundation, as a summer associate at Lerner, David, Littenberg, Krumholz and Mentilk LLP, as a patent agent at Schmeiser, Olsen and Watts LLP, as a legal intern in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York, and as a Research Assistant for Dr. Shahrokh (Seve) Falati.
