Mr. Georgi Korobanov is a registered Patent and Intellectual Property attorney who joined Gearhart Law in the Spring of 2017. Mr. Korobanov focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, and trademarks. Prior to joining Gearhart Law, Mr. Korobanov worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent Office specializing in examining various rotary kinetic fluid motors, pumps and other fluid reaction surfaces. Mr. Korobanov also spent a significant part of his career at United Technologies. At Gearhart Law, Mr. Korobanov provides clients with guidance in wide range of IP matters including freedom to operate opinions, long-term strategy and solutions, as well as patent filings. In addition to Intellectual Property, Mr. Korobanov has experience with US Export regulations including EAR and ITAR from his time at United Technologies. Mr. Korobanov is intimately familiar with a wide range of technologies, including oil and gas delivery, system controls, wind turbines, turbochargers, various fluid delivery devices, and consumer products.
Mr. Korobanov graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. He received his M.B.A from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and subsequently received a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Mr. Korobanov is a native Russian speaker, currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, and is an avid outdoors enthusiast.
